Don't Let Your Creative Work Get Cremated!

As a creative, my work is naturally an important and functional aspect of myself, an extension of myself, a meaningful facet of my total personality and emotional well-being. Okay, you guessed it: I am a Mac user. As such, I do a lot of "artistic" work and creative design. Now, realize I am not discounting other creative jobs like coding and accounting. I am just stating that colors, shapes and smart blurs are sometimes a little less than quantifiable sometimes. As such, I could not imagine losing the massive array of work I have done over even the last year.

Who could?

Unlike flat copy or photographs, accounting spreads or sketchbooks, digital artwork of any kind is always susceptible to corruption, compatibility and destruction - very similar to government. That is why I have found the perfect tool; not only effective, but an aesthetic sister to your little white world (or silver if you're a Macbook Pro user!).

Introducing the ioSafe Solo. Fifteen pounds of pure data protection coupled with USB functionality makes the Solo a sure bet when it comes to unpacking it and plugging it right in. You're good to go. Starting at $149.99 for the 500 GB hard drive, even the proverbial "starving artist" can afford to save his precious portfolio, forgoing the time-honored "freelance diet." For those of you new to this term, it is a manor of diet consisting mainly of not eating because you lack the funds.

Now that we're straight, let's look at the really important features of the Solo. Sure it looks great on the desktop, but the real key features are truly "in the box."

Rated at a solid 30 minutes in 1,550 Fahrenheit heat, you've got a great means of protecting your files from damaging fire. Plus, you've got 72 hours under 10 feet of water in case you decide to take the Solo water-skiing for the weekend. It's been known to happen with the artist lot. And if all else fails, ioSafe is willing to bail you out with a $1,000 data recovery plan. So, your livelihood is in very capable hands even when your latest ad campaign isn't. If only clients were as unfussy as this little powerhouse.

When it comes to your creative design, the Solo is a very robust backup drive for the buck. Yes, you can bang it around, burn it or douse it with water and it will keep all of your priceless work safe. With a reputation like yours (ie. as a creative), you can most likely afford all the help you can get when it comes to organization and security. Am I right? In a world where quantity weighs in above quality much of the time, it is good to know the perfectionist in all of us can rely on an external hard drive for the Mac that protects your work in the face of such destructive elements.
